Chilli Bean Beef

  1. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add onion and spices. Cook for 2-3 minutes until onion is softened. Increase heat, add beef and cook for 4-5 minutes until well browned.
  2. Reduce heat, stir in tomato paste and 1 cup water. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 6-8 minutes. Stir in the beans and cook covered a further 2-3 minutes.
  3. Divide salad leaves between serving plates and drizzle with dressing. Spoon beef on to plates and accompany with pita bread.
